I have taken a lot of photo’s at Goodwood Festival of speed, I have also walked a lot of miles over the 10+ years I have been lucky enough to attend. I have however wondered what I could achieve if I were to spend four days in a very special white photographer's bib (or tabard if you want to be professional which I almost certainly do).

What access and photographs am I missing because I am just an (albeit very keen) paying member of the public and how can I change that, well I managed to find some guidelines for Media Accreditation, awesome right, well sadly not so much, whilst I can provide proof of coverage via my photographs and social media I am not part of the press and I am not an Influencer…

So how to change that, well firstly write an article that shows my knowledge of the event, then I need to self publish and keep my fingers crossed that it either gets picked up by the press, it garners enough interest that I grow my social media following enough to warrant being labelled an influencer or long-shot beyond long-shot hope that someone from Goodwood finds my article and feels compelled to help me out.

The easiest, or so I thought way to demonstrate my knowledge was with a very simple A-Z accompanied by a series of photos I have taken, pretty straightforward stuff. However, have you considered just how limiting some letters of the alphabet are, like O, X and Z, I can assure you there are many words shoehorned into this article but hopefully it will all make sense in the end.

The second issue was my excitement to write and share my knowledge and experiences from the festival, the original plan was to have five words for each letter, a headline grabber which I wrote a full description for and then four other words which just had a one-liner explanation, well I can tell you now, that didn’t happen so you have a much larger write up for every one of the 130 words that I managed to come up with about the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
